Barry O’Mahony provides bespoke semi-religious and non-religious ceremonies for important life events. He is a qualified Civil celebrant from the Irish Institute of Celebrants, Barry has also been a professional singer for over 20 years.

He conducts funerals, memorials, farewell ceremonies/living funerals and he also prepares ceremonies in advance for those planning ahead.

Barry approaches each ceremony with understanding, discretion and patience. His main concern is to reflect the life and values of the person, through song, music, stories, images or readings that are respectful and appropriate.

To create a funeral ceremony that is as personal and moving as possible, Barry listens to the family, builds a narrative around the person, and creates a space for people to emotionally connect and express their feelings for the person who has passed away. With an expanding repertoire of songs Barry can pay tribute to a loved one, comfort those present and add a bespoke live performance to any ceremony.

He has performed at funerals, weddings and festivals including Glastonbury and Electric Picnic, and live on RTE TV and radio, and BBC Radio Ulster.
Barry works in the Dublin, Wicklow, Kildare and Meath areas and is willing to travel all over Ireland.
