As a Civil Funeral Celebrant David is aware and acknowledges that his role is a position of great honour, and profound privilege. He aims to offer an alternative to traditional funeral ceremonies for people of all faiths and none. He provides that caring and personal touch to you and your family, and his ceremonies are personal and truly reflect the beliefs, personality, and values of your loved ones who have died. Your ceremony can be religious, or non-religious as you feel appropriate, and religious or spiritual elements such as prayers or hymns can be included, in what is your ceremony for your loved one.
David is familiar through his own life experiences, and through his previous work as a Paramedic and Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, in dealing with life and death, bereavement and loss, and the different ways in which each and every person reacts to and manages their sorrow or grieving. It can be a shocking and very distressing time when someone you love dies and David has many years of experience in helping families with the aftermath, tragedy, and heartbreak of losing a loved family member, sometimes when a death was expected and, on many occasions, when death was sudden and unexpected. David is also an Associate member of The Irish Association of Funeral Directors (IAFD).
