As a licenced funeral celebrant, I work closely with grieving family members and their preferred funeral directors to ensure that families receive the best possible support and care during this trying time.

I have a PhD in Philosophy, an MA in Conciliation, and qualifications in understanding bereavement and grief, counselling, and wellbeing. In addition, I completed my celebrancy training with the Earth Spiritual Foundation (ESF) in Cork, with which I am affiliated. With over 20 years of experience designing ceremonies for such occasions, I take the time to learn about the person whose farewell service I will conduct in order to personalise it as much as possible. So, whether you prefer a celebration of life or a quiet and reflective farewell service, you can be sure of an individual ceremony that is written to respect and reflect your loved one’s life, loves, and beliefs. All the ceremonies I create may include readings, music, and other rituals that reflect your loved one’s attributes and interests or that are particularly meaningful to you, as well as involving family and friends in the service.

I also officiate at the interment or scattering of ashes, memorial ceremonies, and anniversary services. The loss of a loved one is a very sad and often traumatic time for people. With this in mind, I will be there to support you from our first meeting until the end of the ceremony for your loved one, and I am contactable afterwards for bereavement support, if required.

Residing in Wicklow Town, Scott provides celebrancy services across Wicklow, Wexford, Dublin, and Kildare. He is also available to perform ceremonies in other parts of the country; just contact him to discuss your requirements.
