To promote awareness and knowledge of Celebrancy as a choice for individuals and families who seek an alternative approach for the conduct of a funeral or memorial service.

You will be a member of a recognised group of trained and accredited independent civil funeral celebrants
You will have Indemnity Insurance as part of your membership fee
You will be included in a web directory that is a source for funeral directors and individuals to identify and contact celebrants
AFCI is affiliated to the Irish Association of Funeral Directors
You will have regular contact with peers who are practicing in the same service as a source for sharing experience and support
You will have access to regular updates and resources as a member
Who Can Be a Member
To be a member of the AFCI you must have successfully completed a recognised Funeral Celebrants Course and be accredited by Irish Institute of Celebrants or an equivalent body.
You must agree to abide by the code of practice of the Association the purpose of which is to guide members in the provision of ethical practice and excellence in service.
Pay an annual subscription which is inclusive of insurance. The annual membership fee will be determined on an annual basis.
Application for membership are considered by the Management Committee for approval by simple vote on an ongoing basis.

How to Apply
You can apply through website using the link below. Please complete the resulting short application form. As part of the form you will be asked to scan and submit evidence of training and accreditation.
Once you have filled out this form, you will have your login details to the site and be redirected to the member’s area. There you will be able to pay your registration fee for the year using either Stripe, PayPal or by Bank Transfer.
